76 Northwest Street
Once part of a 25-acre farm, this is the earliest surviving wood-frame house in New Hampshire or Maine.
It sits on a two-acre site on the shore of Portsmouth's North Mill Pond. William Summer Appleton, SPNEA founder, restored the house in the early 20th century.
